A. A Bachelor of Science Engineering degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: chemical, fire protection, civil,
mechanical, electrical, environmental OR A Bachelors of Science degree in occupational safety, health physics, environmental,
science, industrial hygiene, biology, or chemistry.
B. A total of 5 years' experience in the Hydrocarbon, petrochemicals, o r related industries including at least 2 years in
safety/loss prevention. The overall experience can include areas such as: operations, maintenance, and plant engineering, but
the 2 years safety experience should include some areas such as safety program development, motor vehicle fleet safety, fire
prevention, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety management, process hazards
analysis, incident investigation and the development and implementation of safe operations procedures and processes.
C. Ability to communicate in technical English with peers as well as division heads, department heads, and admin. area heads.
Must be able to produce clear, concise oral and written reports
in English. Must be computer literate with word processing, spreadsheet, power point, web browsing, e-mail programs and
audio-visual aids.
D) Must be knowledgeable in Saudi Aramco Safety Management Systems. Must also have good knowledge of safety
engineering practices and principles and safety assessment methods applicable to Saudi Aramco activities. Must also be
familiar with U.S., European, and industry fire and safety codes, recommend practices, standards and specifications, as well as
familiarity with Loss Prevention General Instructions, Engineering Standards and Procedures. |
